Heat is what Paul feels first over his body as he begins to come around, next it is sounds, one of which is familiar to him, the sound of wood snapping or cracking. The other sounds which were from muffled voices he could not recognize right away.
Then the strong acrid smell of smoke fills his nostrils which makes him open his sharp blue hassle eyes in where he comes to face a large wall of orange flames. For a split second the thought of that he died today and ended up in Hell stuck him to the core. Alas this was false because last he was told once by a vampire that was the smell of brimstone was there, not the smell of burning hardwood from the Sugar Maple tree, right?
He shoots his head up and shakes it side to side which now feels a few extra feet thick thanks to whatever they used in those strange arrows to bring him down.
He soon discovered that he was laying on his right side with his hands bound tightly behind him and in front of a roaring bon fire just few feet away from his muzzle. Muzzle?
Paul now realizes that he is still in his hybrid wolf form. He lets out a low guff at this because he was not happy.
He then looks upward into the dark sky which was almost covered over by the large spreading of crowns from the maple and pine trees overhead. However, he still sees the moon as if it was staring down upon him like an eye in judgment. With its white pale light dappling between the light green quivering leaves of a great old sugar maple before him which is being bathed in the orange flickering light from the bon fire before it.
The moon was not one-hundred percent full anymore that was last night. Yet, it was more than enough to do the job of Paul's "curse" in check. Why?
What does this means to him, he'll stay locked up as werewolf pretty much all night because he wasn't consciousness before the moon came up so he was not able to stop the transformation take place to begin with. There is one thing that needs a bit more explaining in detail about him not being "affected" by the moon unlike so many other werewolves.
True, he is not easily affected or it should be said imitated by the mysterious psychological effect the moon has on some people who suffer by the many kinds of cases of lycanthropy that are known. If you wish to call it "suffering" that is, for some would call it a curse, others a gift, for Paul at this moment a pain in the butt.  Since he did not have time to prepare himself for tonight's moon rise, he was out cold after sunset while still in his hybrid form.
As of now, all those years of training in mediation, discipline and his own will power to control his "beast" side that was part of his nature, has just gone up in smoke  just like the wood before him as it burns to ash. He's pretty much stuck like this until sunrise, then he will be allow to shift back to human or stay as a werewolf at his will.
He starts to wiggle his paw-like hands in whatever was bidding him, it felt like a pair of thick handcuffs that cover his whole wrists.
In his present from right now, he could destroy the things in no time, however, just before he could start to bend the metal, a leathered skin-like hand slams down on his head into the damp wet ground and a unfamiliar face with one long oblong tooth sticking out of its lower jaw showing off the rest of his sharp teeth came down into Paul's face.
"Nice to see that you are now awake, mutt." said the troll in a gloat. "But, I wouldn't do that if I were you."
The troll then goes behind Paul's back and grabs his "handcuffs" and suddenly they appear to have become sharper around his wrists.
"You see?" he explained as his sour breath goes up Paul's snout which makes him cringed at the smell.  "These "shackles" have very sharp blades made of silver inside them. If you as so much as flinch the wrong way, they will spring forward the blades and cut deep just enough in the veins to where you'll bleed to death because they won't come off so that your body will heal fast enough to stop the blood. Besides, from what I understand from reading up on you werewolf types, you have a very bad reaction to silver."
"Silver does not bother me nor will it kill me." corrected Paul within a gruff as never turns to face his captor. "I'm different than other werewolves."
"But, you will still bleed."
Paul sighs softy because he knew the troll was right that one.
"Tell the Queen that he's awaked now." orders the troll to another large creature next to him, which was another troll. He gives the troll captain a light nod, then walks off towards what appears to be a tall narrow bark-free bare tree. Even with the strong light coming from the moon light from an opening from the other trees above in which they reflected the pale light off in their own way, the bare one just stayed as black as onyx as if no light was there, like strange kind of shadow placed over it.
The troll captain roughly grabbed Paul by the scruff of his neck, which makes the werewolf bare his teeth a little in protest, however, this only made the troll use his other  leathery dark green skinned hand to grab Paul's shackles with more aggression and forces him to get onto his knees.
At the moment, Paul is glad he is still in his current  hybrid form now because it's much easier to kneel with two humanoid-type legs than the ones in his feral form which are more like the hind-type found on an actual wolf.  Plus, humanoid-type legs are kinder on blue jeans than hind-type even though his leg muscles were stretching them good right now enough to where they could tear.
Even with his sharp light hazy blue eyes narrowed with anger, he can't help at being just plain curious as to why the second troll who has stopped next to the black tree lean toward to it and talked into one of its many twisted branches as if it was a person in which then it appears to move its dry breaches a little as if a stiff breeze is going by, however, there is none. Then it happens which causes Paul to open his lower jaw a bit as he sees an amazing thing take place.
The tree begins to twist and turn as if it was made black putty as it takes on a new form. The werewolf then is shocked as the twisting wood forms into a humanoid shape which is as dark as the tree first was until the blackness melts away like ice acting like a secondary skin or coating relieving a beautiful woman to appear in its place.
She was wearing a long lacy black outfit that resembled something both elegant and gothic. Her hair which once made of many branches was now long, soft and black as it fell behind her bare back.
In her right hand she was holding a six foot long silver scepter with a crystal that was the size of a baseball within its hilt giving off in an eerie glow mixture of green and blue light, almost the same way a disco ball would behave.
She then opens her eyes which were as blue as Neea's were and in a way, resembles hers as well, except Neea's  did not give Paul the cold shiver down his long spine as if this one did.
Paul's own wolf's instincts were telling him; "This woman was not a trusting human being." That is, if this person in black is human to begin with.
As soon as the woman's transforming was completed, the troll next to her bowed to honor her until he touched the ground with his hands, the troll next to Paul put a great deal of more force on his neck making him bow as well, however, his snout hit's the ground hard enough that he makes a noise within his nose to get the dirt and loam out of it.
"Silence, mutt." says the troll captain as he now bows next to him.
The woman in black makes a light bow with her head and with her hand gives the gesture to rise again. Paul is forced back to his knees once more as his legs are kicked out from under neigh him.
The woman then takes a couple of feet up to were Paul and the troll were. She moves her specter with the glowing ball end down to Paul's faces which is lit up by the changing colors. She smiles at him coldly.
"Herwn chotdole a swumera?" she says to Paul who is greatly puzzled by her words because her tongue is a langue he has never heard of before, and he has been around the Earth more than once in his life. Paul just looks back at her in a dumbfounded state. Her eyes grow narrow in return.
"Herwn chotdole a swumera?" she says again, however, with more tone. Again, Paul did not understand her words at all.
The woman sighs, then with a few gestures with her right hand and spinning her specter over her head like a battle staff and slamming it back into the ground she speaks to Paul again.
"Can you understand me now?"
Paul looks up right at her and nods.
"Yes." he says with surprise as his ears point up.. "I can. What did you just do?"
A simple translation spell, my friend." she replies with a satisfied grin to her somewhat pale face. My "Adversary" has a similar spell of this kind in incrusted in that pair of golden wings she has shown you. Anyone she is near or near her will be able to understand her and in return, she will be able to understand what ever tongue they speak of."
"'Adversary'?" quotes Paul within a grunt as his wolf ears pointing upward. "You must mean, 'Neea', correct and what "golden wings" are you talking about?"
The woman then points to another tree behind her which looked like a young White Bruch, it too began to twist like the first one did, however, it just cracks apart in many pieces and falls to the ground as if it was a old dried hollowed out log and revealing what was hidden inside of it which was Neea' who then falls it the ground in a clump.
The woman then walks over and helps up the younger one with a gentle hand and brings her over before Paul, however, her head is facing down to the ground the whole time it as if she is in a sleepwalk.
Paul looks up at Neea' with concern then angrily back at the woman in black.
"What's wrong with her?" Paul demanded with concern as he folded his ears down. "She looks like she in a trance or something!"
"You are correct, Man of Wolf." said the woman as she softy puts her hand through Neea's hair, showing now some response from it by moving her head towards the direction where the woman's hand was. "She is indeed in what you call a trance, yet, she probably can tell you're here in front of her. In way, she is in a dream state; however, I control her because I need her."
The woman in black then holds up a small strange looking amulet that suddenly appears around the girl's neck with a dim glowing green gem in its center.
"May I ask why?" asked Paul as he now notices the amulet as well
"You're going to die tonight, so why not." she said plainly as she holds up Neea's head with her eyes still closed. "You see, Neea' is my niece."
"Oh great!" says Paul with in a deep gruff as interrupts and he shakes his head back and forth in disgust. "This is a kind of "family squabble" I'm in! These always get messy, woman!"
"Silence, pup!" growls the ogre as he puts both of his large hands over Paul's muzzle who in turn struggles to free himself. The woman looks at Paul with narrowed eyes again.
"That's "Queen", 'Man of Wolf'." she corrects him as she orders the ogre to take his hand off of Paul's muzzle.
"I don't give a steaming pile of camel floppy that you are!" Paul barks out then suddenly goes down to a more respectful tone to the Queen. "But, I do wish to understand why you are doing this to her. By the way, the name's "Wulfsbane"… your Majesty. "
"Indeed?" asks the Queen who looks at Paul with great suspicion then continues on with her query. "Do you have a human name, man of wolf?"
"Paul." he replies quickly.
"A double life or personally, maybe? she asks. "If so, who is it that I' am addressing now?"
"Both." again quickly he answers. "We are one in the same."
The Queen goes back to her attention with Neea'.
"As you now understand, Paul…and Wolfsbane.  I'm Neea's Aunt, her father's sister. And little Neea' here is the rightful heir to her family's long standing legacy to one of the most prized Kingdoms where we both came from." The Queen goes on. "You see, her parents are now both dead and she must take the throne very soon. However, if she cannot. Then the next one is the family from her side of her father."
"That's where you come in, right?" asks Paul.
"Yes, I'm the ruler of a Kingdom to the South of hers and I want to add Neea's to my own." the Queen answered as she continues to stroke Neea's hair. "At first, I was going to have her disappear forever, but, she somehow managed to find the old spell that first helped her, and her parents escape this world back to ours when she was just a young child."
"Wait a second, I'm lost here." exclaimed Paul with his ears perked up. "'Helped her and her parents escape this world back to ours?' What do you mean?"
"My brother knew how to make in dimension travel spells, ones that where powerful enough to open doorways to other worlds. One day he slipped up and ended up in your world. In fact, this very "opening" is not too far from here.  Soon he meet the woman that would become his wife and give him a child named; "Neea'."
"So, you are from a different world?" asked Paul looking around everybody. "This does explain a few things here."
"Yes." answered the Queen. "The world we come from would be something like your world's tales of mythical places."
"I see." says Paul vehemently as he moves his eyes around carefully as he studied everyone he could see.
"Today, you came into the way of making yourself very useful to me." the Queen went on. "I followed her here and reading her mind, she told everything about you. My brother did tell me once about creatures like you that have the…beast side of yourselves. If you do bite someone, they will become like you, yes?"
Paul looks at the Queen right in the eye yet, stays quite.
"If you don't answer me, Wulfsbane." said the Queen pointing to the troll holding him at bay. "I'll have him rip off your head now."
"Yes." he answered in anger.
"Good." she replied coldly. "I perhaps… want you to turn Neea' into one of your kind. So, that she cannot ever be allowed to come back home and be ruler. Her people could never accept her for this. An abomination, if you will?"
"Sorry." says Paul with a grin. "My 'kind' is not what you call the standard run of the mill 'werewolf', if you will. In order for me to make a transfer any of my powers, I must be at threat and/or be willing to give the power away. It's a way we keep our numbers down in the world so we can keep a low profile going. It's worked for centuries."
"'Threat', yes?" quoted the Queen with her grin returning. "You know little Neea' here can become rather…large."
"'Little?' Ha!" quotes Paul within a deep scuff while showing all his sharp teeth is a very satirist grin. "That's the understatement of the day! But, even at eight feet. If we were to fight, if that's what you're thinking of. She's still no match for me! I fought many kinds of weres' that were bigger than her. From lions, tigers and bears to hogs, rats and bats! I usually win because I can use my own military combat training, experience and everything else I have learned from my human side to give me a good advantage  instead of relying on "brute force" alone in battle!"
The Queen just scoffs at Paul words and backs away from him. She then looks at Neea' suddenly' then back at Paul again.
"Do you really think that eight feet is all she can do, Wulfsbane?" she asks as she holds up her scepter over the girl's head. Dust-type particles fall from it and go into Neea' hair which soon they all disappear into it.
"Uh, oh." grumbles Paul to himself as he looks back at Neea' who is still motionless, yet looked peaceful. "I didn't like the way she just said that!"
Neea's face's expression changed slowly as she tighten her eye lids and bared her teeth, suddenly drops to her knees, wraps her arms around herself as she makes herself into a tight ball. She then starts to make a noise as if she was under great deal of pain or struggle.
All Paul can do is look in awe as he starts to see the most incredible metamorphosis he has ever seen unfold before him as he watched Neea' begin to grow slowly larger by the inch then a foot. Soon, he could tell even as she was hunch over, she was beyond the height he has already wittiness from her earlier.
As she grew upward, both the light from the fire and moon shined down around her body suit, it appeared that the material that made up Neea' outfit first would stretch out to the point where to was about to tear open, however, at the last moment a very lite bluish white light enveloped around her whole body, the coverall grew until it matched her new size and continued on with the process.
Soon she came to the point where if she were to stand up straight, she would be at fifteen feet in height.  Suddenly she lifts up her head and a part of her back to where everyone could see in her face now which clearly showed she was in a great struggle to stop  what was happening to her. She was being forced against her will to grow larger.
Neea' next moved her right knee off the muddy ground to where she left an imprint there and sent her foot down on it while keeping the left knee still on the ground as if she was genuflecting to a god, both sank in by her increasing weight.
Neea' then lifts up her arms until they are half way out to her sides and makes her hands into tight fists with tensed muscle showing up.
All this time her eyes were closed shut, yet, in the flickering fire light made by the bon fire below her, Paul could see tears in anguish fall against her cheeks as she reached twenty feet in height and still going.
The sight of the tears alone was squeezing sharply at his stomach while ripping into his very soul. Because in a strange yet, familiar way, Paul could understand what Neea' was going through right now. Just like himself when he became a werewolf for the very first time and little afterward, he like some many others fought with everything they could to find within themselves, sadly, until they could learn to control their other side, they lost to the "beast".
"What's wrong with her?" asks the troll captain with the oblong tooth to the Queen as she looks on with an evil grin on her face. "I don't recall her acting like this before!"
"Oh, she's alright." she plainly says to her Captain. "She's just having some growing pains, that's all."
Paul curses in his throat at weather she was being truthful or not, that smirk on her face enraged Paul as he growled and bared his own sharp teeth.
"Fools!" he yelled within a sharp bark, so loud in fact in spooked the troll holding him and a few armed goblins who suddenly came out of hiding behind some trees. "Can't you see?! She's fighting it! You don't have complete control over her!"
The Queen just looks at Paul in a very calm look.
"I know that." she explains as if nothing is happening around her. "However, if you look at the amulet she is wearing around her neck? As she becomes larger in size, the power grows too. It feeds off of her essence or should I say essences."
Paul's eyes grow larger as he takes in the Queen's words, he then looks back up at Neea' who has stopped growing now. However, she is still hunched and looms directly over Paul and the two other trolls who look a little nervous now.
"Remember what happen last time when she got like this?" asks the second troll to his fellow troll in a low voice. "Wasn't pretty."
Neea' still has her eyes closed and is breathing hard enough as if she had just ran in the Boston Marathon in full speed, exhausted of course after going through all that. She slowly brings down both her now huge hands to the ground with just like the rest of her body has done and they too sink into the soft ground a bit right between Paul and the two trolls.
In the back on Paul's mind after just seeing that, he couldn't help, but, think about what the French scientist Antione Lavoisier said about in the "Law of Conservation"; "Mass in itself is neither created nor destroyed."
Nevertheless, what Neea' alone has done before him today, it just opened a whole debate about that very Law in itself. Unfortunately right now he going to have to put off of thinking of what he is going to say to his former Physics Professor at his next class reunion because what the Queen does next pulls him back into the situation at hand.
The Queen brings her staff's green crystal down to her mouth and whispers one word that Paul still hears loud and clear.
"Stand."
Neea' instantly opens her eyes as they are no longer blue, yet, deep green and this time no glow of light came from them.  She moves her left leg up then her right knee and stands brusquely straight up to her new full height. All thirty feet of her.
Neea' snaps off a few tree limbs on the way up and they fall around Paul and the two trolls. One in which hits the Captain the in the head by a big one.
Her huge form now blocks out the bright moon and her shadow is casted over Paul and the others like a black silk veil.
"Yipe." Paul says just like normal wolf or dog would really say as he folds his ears back and looks up at her.
With a few magical hand gestures by the Queen, Paul's shackles "pop" off and fall to the ground by themselves. He looks them over them quickly to make sure they were all right. Just some light scratches to the skin.
"I did that so you would have a fighting chance, Wolf of Man." she says  in a icy tone as she brings her staff up once more and whispers again into it, however, she was much more aggressive in tone.
"Crush him."
"'Crush'"? "quotes Paul with alarm as the Queen's words cut right through him like a cold sharp blade as both of the Queen's bodyguards run off in two different directions in which Paul looks both ways as they ran, next he looks right up at Neea' who's face is now full of anger as she raises and then throws her huge right hand down at the tiny werewolf with full force.
"Aww, Shinto!" he yells out a place in Japan instead of a word that means another name for "Poop" as he just barely misses the blow as he jumps high into the air within a "grunt", out of the way of Neea's fist as it slams into the ground, kicking up black dirt and tan loam. Even before he could get all his bearings straight as he landed back down to the earth, he is forced to move again at inhuman speeds, as Neea's other fist whooshes by him and strikes a large Red Pine tree instead in which it's ripped out of the ground, flies through the air and shortly crashes into another group of trees.
Paul was now able to hide behind the other red pine tree just to the right side of Neea, who is looking around for him intensely. Unnoticed to him, Paul does not see the queen is the one manipulating  every move that the giantess is doing in unison as she makes gestures with her hands like a puppet master would and mumbling words telling where the girl should look next. Paul is just too busy right now trying to stay alive.
"Wow!" he says to himself in disbelief, as he wipes off his face down to his muzzle from the dirt that has gotten on him from that last attack. "Egad, what power! And speed! She's unbelievably fast for her size, definitely up there in the "Weapon of Mass Destruction" range!"
Neea's just then spots him in the corner of her right eye; she slams herself against the pine that Paul was hiding at. He's fast as he runs away, however, Neea' is the faster one as she moves her left arm around the pine tree which most of its needles fall off and was able to grab the small werewolf.
Paul was able to slip through her fingers as they closed around him, however, he trips over the giant's girl's "pinky" finger and he falls into a small mud pit. Neea' just stretched out her arm some more and she was able to get a good hold on the wolf man, who is now covered in dark mud.
She stands up once more to her massive size bringing the still struggling werewolf to her face.
Paul was able to turn himself around to face Neea's face which just showed no emotion and other than just turning green a short time ago, her eyes looked empty.
"Neea'!" Paul shouts up to her. "I bet you can hear me!"
Neea's eyes then look right at Paul who was able to get both his arms free from her iron grip and pounds his chest.
"If I can control "THIS"!" he says referring to the werewolf that he is. "You can control yourself! Think who you are! Why are here because heck I don't know. Use that will power of yours that makes you become what you are now! Snap out of it! Now!"
A small toothy smile actually comes to Paul's muzzle as he can see Neea's eyes react to his words as she blinks a few times. He'd wag his tail if could, if it wasn't pressed against his back right now. She blinks a few times more and shakes her head, then looks down at him with a light grin that comes to her face as she is glad to see him and loosens her grip some.
"Hi. What's up?" she says softy as her still feminine, yet now powerful voice makes his ultra acute hearing rattle so much that he was forced to cover his wolf style ears. Neea's sees this and covers her mouth and tries to speak in a whisper. "Sorry."
He looks up at her trying to give a more comfortable smile back even though her grip was just quite literally killing his back.
"'Hi?!' 'What's up'?" he quotes as he flickers both ears and looks down at the ground. "Funny."
A larger grin appears on Neea's face, however, that quickly disappears as her other free hand is slapped on her head as the amulet around her grows brighter.
"Little fool!" says her Aunt's words now both in Neea's and Paul's mind. "And you, you wretched beast! How dare you defy me! She does have a strong will, but, my magic is stronger! Neea' I said; "Crush him"! NOW!"
The Queens voice cuts into Neea's mind like sharp daggers, she lets out a cry from the pain and her powerful grip once more tightens around Paul who lets out an agonizing painful roar from the pressure he is now feeling around his own body.  If he were just a normal man he would be dead by now, however, thanks to his other self he is still holding on, yet, he can begin to feel his rib cage getting ready to cave in and his spine snap. If he doesn't get free, he's done for.
While still struggling against the magic upon her , Neea' drops to her right knee and with Paul still in it moves her left arm into the crown of a jack pine tree which is as tall as her. Paul crashes through a few branches and slams next to the main trunk as Neea's death grip goes on him still.
In a desperate attempt he makes the claws on his fingers grow longer and with force slams them into the tree's thick trunk like huge hooks and pulls with everything he's got.
Thanks to the mud on him still, it acts like a lubricant, he slips out of her hand and falls down, hitting a couple of large branches on his way down to the ground. The last one he hit's knocks him right back  in front of the blazing fire pit, however, this time on the other side of it where the Queen  and the two trolls were as they look on.
Showing he was still in pain, Paul lets out a deep groan as he shakes his head. Then he sees it, just sticking halfway out of the fire pit itself and gets an idea just as Neea's right hand slams down on top of him.
His head, shoulders, and most of his arms are between her first and middle fingers which are now the size of logs pushing him down into the warm soft ground.
As Paul can feel himself sink down into the dirt like a pressed down stone, he was able to wiggle some more of himself out from under Neea's crushing palm. In desperation, he then throws both hands out on to a long pole-like branch that was half-way out of the blazing fire as the other half has burned to the point of being shaped like a hot ember spear. He tightens his grip  around the pole as Neea' closes her hand around the werewolf as it digs into the ground the same way a clamshell on a pay loader would act.
In a clump of black soil, loam, tree and plant roots and fiery embers,  Neea' once more brings Paul up to her face, however, this time closer to her right eye to get a better look at what she had in her hand because it was dark as the moon went behind a cloud now.
As she brings the pile of dirt closer to her eye to see if he is no longer moving , yet, she suddenly stops cold when she see Paul sit up while knocking the dirt off  and swings around the six foot burning pole which he was able to hide it behind his back and Neea's fist.
Within an angry roar and fierce look in his eyes, he moves the fiery end of the pole forcedly right up to the giant girl's eye, however, stops short of his strike to where he could see the light of the very flame and glowing embers reflect off of her corona.
Neea' is frozen like a statue as she looks right at Paul. The only thing that did move was her right eye as it grew naturally smaller from the increased light before it.  The Queen stands her ground making Neea' do the same as she somehow loses her control of Neea'.  For the first time the queen becomes worried about how strong Neea' is becoming.
Paul, focusing harder into the girl's green eye sees something that he was not expecting to see at all as he looked deeper into the young woman's eye. Was it something that he should've noticed in the first place or not? He mind was racing for answers as well as questions within questions. Anger over comes him from the near-sight as the most possible answer comes to him.
"I'm a fool!!" he lets out right after he lets the loudest roar anyone has heard yet as he points to Neea'. "You're defiantly more than what you appear to be! I'm sorry to do this, kiddo!"
He twirls the pole over his head a few times and at first with some hesitation, yet, still does it in the end. He slams the burning end of the pole into Neea's hand in the area between the thumb and first finger where he knew it would be soft. The pole pierces through the skin and into muscle as it sinks in with a sizzle.
In reaction, Neea' lets out a yell that echo's for miles over the hilly landscape and a face that finally revealed another emotion, yet, this one was pain. She opens her hand up and drops Paul who was able to land on the ground on 'all fours' between her feet.
"Move!" Paul ordered himself as he struggles to get air into his lungs; he can see the Queen and her two bodyguards just gloating at him through the orange flames of the bonfire itself.
He doesn't wait another second to see what's going on overhead as he uses his powerful legs to leap into the air and jump almost over the flames of the fire and he sees his target as it comes into view.
The troll captain with the oblong tooth is taken quite back as he sees the werewolf leap over the fire in a pounce position and is coming right at him, however, he's even more taken off guard at what the werewolf says to him on the way down.
"Gangway way, fathead!" roars out Paul with a crazy looking wicked grin on his face as he lands on the top of the troll's large head with one leg, which in turn pushes the troll backward just enough to knock him off his balance, next Paul pushes himself off back into the air adding more force to the downward path of the troll. After doing a mid-air flip, Paul lands back down on the ground and takes off like a shot.
The captain land on the ground hard, however, gets back up quickly.
The Queen was not amused at this, as she watches the werewolf named "Wulfsbane" make his way into the woods. Two goblins armed with spears come out from their hiding spots behind the trees to try and stop him; however, Paul just simply swats them away.
"Get back to me when you little guys have more muscle on ya!" he shouts as he finds a deer path and bolts down on it.
"I'm going to make a new coat out of your furry hide!" shouts the troll with anger at Paul as he raises both fists over his head. "And what's ever left, I'll use the scraps to wipe my…AHHH!?"
Before the troll captain could finish his words, Neea' huge left boot lands next to him heavily and startle him, however, he's then knocked down from behind by tip end of her right boot as she makes her way over the fire pit. She gives her Aunt an icy glare as she looks down at her and runs after Paul, knocking down trees smaller than her that were in her way.
"Good girl." says the queen with her grin returning now. "Go get the doggy. I knew I could get you to do it with a bit of more force. Go my instrument to power, my pathway from being a moral queen to an immoral goddess!"
Paul hears what sounded like a series of explosions, as he looks behind him to see the giant girl come after him with aggression. The moon came back out and gave her white outfit as bluish look to it with the shadows of the trees getting in the way.
"Aww, man!" he murmured as he knew this was some serious stuff he was in. "Now the "Hunter has become the Hunted."

As Neea' was soon out of view as she went deeper into the woods. The queen turned back to what was left of her team.
"Get up you imbeciles." She orders bitterly. "We follow the trail."
"Manomanoman!" Paul says within a gruff. "Now I know how a mouse feels with a cat and I can say; "Cheese"!"
He has a quick chance to look over his broad furry shoulder and sees Neea' trying to make her way between row after row of trees that where between her and her objective.
Luckily for Paul he was able to make her follow him in to a huge "stand" of trees that where pacifically planted in a "row" formation this way so that sometime in the future they would be harvested for a lumber company.
Paul hopes that he never meets the owner of the crop of trees because right now Neea' was destroying a good chunk of a twenty year old product as she was just basically plowing her way through the soft wood trees that most only came up to her chest area. The good thing was these "rows" were doing a great job right now at slowing down this immense human being down…a little.
At that same moment rolling down the Interstate road known as Route 86, a huge Peterbilt 335 18-wheeler hulling a full load of sugar maple logs bound for a furniture making factory in Ottawa, a seasoned Canadian truck driver and his passenger who was from Queensland, Australia making his way across North America in his own great "backpacking" excursion were engaging in a already lively conversion.

"I tell you son." explained the driver as he shifted the gears on the rig. "If ever you happen to come back down this was during the early fall season you will see some of the brightest and colorful leaf foliage you have ever seen in your life! Most likely nothing like you has seen in the "Downunder", eh?"
"I hope I do so." replied the younger man as he looked out the passenger window at the forest which was patchily lit up by the bluish light coming from the bright full moon high in the clear sky. "I've learn so much about the United States and Canada back when I was just a "carpet grub"  from my "chalkie' it just became a goal to make it up here! Say one question I've been asking around is what are the ghostly tales about these woods. Someone told me that there were werewolves running about!"
"Aww, that's just a great deal of rubbish." said the driver with a bit of disgust as he glanced at the Australian for a bit. "All my years of running up an down this particular route other than the normal creatures like beavers, bears and foxes, I've never seen anything odd."
"How about a regular looking wolf?" asked the Australian.
"Well, there are some kind of wolves running about here, but, I doubt we will actually see one. Rare do they come near human populations."
As the truck approaches to a part in the road where it becomes a very sharp bend  the driver begins to downshift his rig where at one point he "grinds" the gears as he glances down for a second at the shifter itself, Paul comes bursting out of a wall of thick brush in a high leap that happen to meet at the very edge where the turn was at and comes face to face with the huge rig as it's lights blind him for a second. He does not have time to act as his "leap" puts him right on to the truck's path which was still about thirty meters away.  He just keeps running straight towards the truck head on; however, all he could see was white light.
Both the passenger and the truck driver let out a yell in surprise at the strangle looking wolfman running right at them as the driver blows the air horn and slams on the air breaks causing the trailer's tires to lock-up and skip across the road while at the same time Paul leaps as hard as he could back into the air over the truck's cab and onto one of the top logs on the trailer itself while the high pitched "screeching" from the tires drove his acute hearing nuts. However, as soon as he fully landed on the log he jumps again into the air, lands back on the road and continues on down the road and disappears into the dark.
"That's right!" yells the driver out his window back at Paul. "This is my road doggy, ha, haaaa!"
He then comes back into the cab regains control of the truck and continues to make his turn at the corner just ahead.
"There's your wolf, buddy! Yet, that be the biggest dog I've ever seen, eh?" says the driver who is still "pumped up" after that. "Kinda looked like he was running on..."
"Oh yeah, mate?" the Austrian cuts in where the driver looks at him. "Well, here comes its owner!!"
Then driver turns back to the road where the large bush was lit up now fully by the truck's lights and Neea' comes out plowing through and downing most of the thick brush with a few young trees with it. She comes right towards the truck and is just twenty feet or so away. Once more, only this time a bit more "pumped up" than ever now both the driver and passenger let out a louder more terrified yell this time as they see the giant girl coming right at them where it looks like a one point she is going to collide into the truck head on.  The driver slams on his brakes once more only harder this time causing the wheels not only to lockup, however have the trailer's tires bounce across the road and the trailer itself begins to "jackknife" across the road.
Neea' take a huge jump into air and leaps over the whole rig. Truck cab, trailer and all, lands right behind rig on the road within a sound of an ear-splitting <Crunch!>. Because of the pitch and force of her landing was so intense on the asphalt that she was able to have about 20 feet of it un-bond from the earth itself and fold up like an accordion with bits and pieces of it flying everywhere. She quickly rebounds from her landing, stood back up where the Austrian watched her in the passenger mirror stand over the trailer and without ever looking back taking off after her target.
For a few seconds the only sound that was heard was the low rumble coming from the truck's engine. Then the driver calmly shifts the gears into "first" and contuses his driving.
"Yes sir." He says very calmly as possible while turning the wheel to straighten out the truck and going down the road. "Nothing odd ever happen here. I think I'll take up that job this winter doing ice trucking up North."
The Austrian just keeps to himself looking out the window again.
"I'm going back home." he says to himself. "These blokes are just crazy up here!"

Paul panting for air knew where he was going and could see he's "destination" coming up in the forest. A clearing, it was about as wide a football field and twice as long, it was a field of tall grass except for smacked right in the middle was a single Jack Pine tree which was almost about one hundred feet high, however, after someone took a core sample from its lower section a few years ago, it turned out to be a little over ten years old. A freak of nature, so to speak. Best answer that was brought up was that this clearing was a natural "watershed" and the tree was just getting the right amount of water and nutrients to become so tall in such a short period of time, defiantly freckly.
Right now, Paul wishes he could come to a better understanding at how to free Neea' from the queens grip, however, that will have to wait as he comes into the clearing and with all his remaining energy runs full speed towards the tree. He then like a cat, shoots all the way up until he deep within the crown itself near the very top. The tree sways a little back and forth as he goes higher up. He forgot that the tree in itself is a giant young pole version of itself. In other words; it was real rubbery for its size.
He looks out from the crown using all the surrounding dark green pines as camouflage and looks back where he came out of. He could hear the sound of snapping and crashing wood long before Neea' came stumbling out into the open. She was real easy to see now, thanks to her white outfit which amazingly was still clean looking and was still reflecting well in the already diminish bluish light from the moon.
Neea' begins to look around more carefully as if she knew Paul was in this area. Somehow, he is not surprised at this as he still obverse her in astonishment. It's not every day that you see a real giant, especially one who is chasing you.  Neea' still continued to search for him by looking first in the other near-by trees.
During this time, Paul was able to get enough changes to see the girl's face better in the moon light as it finally came out again from behind the clouds. She was still as expressionless as a marionette's face and it was a good chance that it was the Queen herself who was still pulling the strings here that were manipulating Neea's actions.
"Bottom line." Paul says to himself.  "This is not her fault, she is entirely innocent. This of course made this an even more difficult challenge here. How do I stop her without doing any more harm? Ah, crud, difficult situation here alright."
Paul couldn't help it yet, think about how some people who he has known that have changed back into their human side in the morning after being a werewolf and are just horrified to what they had done night before because they would have never had done something like at all and how he had to explain to them that when the "beast" comes out of them, they will become something of a new being, both physically and mentally.   Piece of cake, not.
Paul, however, was one of the lucky ones because thanks to his strong metal discipline when he transformed into his wolf-self  he was still in touch pretty much with his human-self to still be in control for his actions, most of the time.
"I bet that piece of jewelry around her neck has something to do with that. She and the queen are like a remote control unit andradio, only powered by magic!" he says to himself as still watches very move she makes and tries to come up with a plan. He was good at getting himself out of tough situations both as human and wolf; yet, he's never dealt with anything like this before nor knew or heard anybody doing so.
"So, how do you beat a giant without harming them?" he asks to himself in a soft whisper.
Neea' suddenly gives a hard look at the very tree that Paul was in as her eyes read up and down it, then she walks by and starts to scan around the other side of the clearing.
"Did she somehow hear me?" he asks in his thoughts.
Paul takes a very silent "sigh" of relief he watches her walk by as she appears to ignore the tree itself
"Just need to rest a bit more, first." he thinks to himself. "And heal, then find away to…?"
"Who?" says a sound next to him. "Who, Whooooooo."
Paul looks at the direction where the sound was coming from. It was an old barn owl that was resting on a branch just a few feet away. A loud barn owl at that.
"Who." it goes on. "Who?"
With his glaring eyes he gives the owl a mean look.
"Who?" it replies.
He then puts his first finger in front of his muzzle and snout trying to tell the noisy bird to "Shut it!"
"Who?" it replies.
"You." he says to the owl speaking more in a grunting sound than a human voice.
"Who who!" the owl swore as it flies off, however, not until it gives the werewolf a mean glare back.
"Same to you!" Paul replies in a low whisper in anger after beginning told off by an owl what he could do with himself.
As Paul watches the fowl bird fly off he then realized where it was going. Neea' was still looking around on the other side of the field. She barely hears it, until she just spots the tiny flying creature flying around her, "Who-ing" it's head off. She then watches it fly away back toward the tree where Paul was, flying above it for a few seconds until the giant girl starts walking towards the tall tree. The owl then flies away.
Paul looks at the owl with very stern eyes.
"If I ever get you." says Paul to the owl as it gets smaller as it flies farther away. "I'm going to deep fat fry you and eat you with blue cheese sauce…with a side order of carrots and celery sticks."
He then looks down as Neea' comes up to the tree. She barely near its center as she looks up into the crown.
"I wonder if my camouflage is helping?" asks Paul about his own dark fur and the pine's crown as cover.
Neea' jumps up at the crown; however, she comes up "short" at getting near it.
"Guess not." says Paul with disgust as he watches Neea' try again and again to get her hands into the crown, still can't. "Gravity not in your favor tonight, eh kid?"
Neea' hears his faint words and for the first time gives a look of aggravation up at him. She then looks at how the tree is shaking and her face lights up as she or perhaps the queen appears to get an idea.
Paul sees that idea "expression" on her face and wonders what she is up to.
Neea' puts both hands on the center of the tree and starts to shake the tree back and forth hard until it begins to whip around like a fiberglass fishing rod.
Paul just buries his claws once more into the wood and hangs on for dear life as everything around him is whipping round.
After about thirty seconds of shaking off braches, needles, and many pine cones. The werewolf stays put. Yet, he doesn't feel so great in the gut nor head about his victory.
"You'll have to do better than that!" yells Paul down to her. "I'm buried deeper here than a tick on a dog! And I of all people should know how that's liked!"
Neea' puts her hands on her hips for and looks up at him for about a few seconds with a new expression on her face. One that gave the impression of saying; "Oh, yeah?"
Neea' squats down as far she could go. She next leaps into the air, throws out her left hand and was able to grabbed the very top of the crown portion of the tree, right just above Paul who was very impressed at this and getting scared out of his wit's a bit.
Using both her strength and weight, she is able to make the giant young Jack Pine bend back down to the earth.
The tree moaned and made many cracking sounds as its whole body was bending to the point of snapping into two.  Until Neea' stopped moving it when the top was at her waste.
Paul, whose back is now facing upward towards the giant girl, slowly looks up at her with a worried face because he gets the idea of what she is planning to do.
"Alright, I should've seen this coming." he says within a grumble before he gives a "look out into the audience expression".
Neea 'simply lets the tree go.
In an instant, the giant jack pine is transformed into a giant catapult and Paul is the rock. The tree with great aggression snaps back upward within a sound of many cracks and strains.
The gravity that Paul was now experiencing was just way too strong for him keep his claws bury into the bark and was forced to let go as he's now slinged shot into the air and then orbit.
Actually, he only goes up about three hundred more meters higher than he was back in the tree and flies over the forest 'head over heels' while letting out one crazy sounding "Howl!"
Neea' watches now still with a blank expression on her face again as Paul flies away and disappears over a nearby hill.  (And for you Anime fans; yes, there is a "twinkle" in the sky where Paul is last seen.) <Ding.>
After a few seconds have passed, she then shrinks down to ten feet so she can move more freely and makes her away back to the forest, however, before she is about to reenter the thicken trees she is greeted by the two trolls and in between them was her Aunt who had a very satisfied look on her face which in enforced by her slow clapping of her long, yet elegant hands.
"Well done." she says as she puts her hands down and lifts up her specter to her niece which glows a bright blue for a bit and canceling out her "slave-spell" over Neea'.
Neea' shuts her eyes tightly and shakes her head side-to-side as she comes back into her own present state of mind. When she finally reopens her eyes they are blue one more, yet they match her face as an expression of disbelief comes over her as she puts both of her hands on her forehead and looks down on her Aunt.
"What…what did I just do?!" expresses Neea' with great concern in her voice. "What did I do?!"
"You?" replied her Aunt as she looks up at her still with her satisfied expression. "My dear, you did nothing pretty much, I just browed that powerful body of yours for a while."
"I saw everything happening!" said Neea' tuning out her Aunt as her eyes became watery. "What I was doing?!  I couldn't control myself!"
"That was all me." said her Aunt as she held up her specter once more. "I just needed your power to be rid of that creature that became involved with you. Thank you, child."
"I killed him." whispered Neea' in a shallow voice as an expression of horror now comes to her face.
"No, I killed him.  You were just the weapon. I know you well enough to know you would never have killed one in cold blood. Even with that powerful body of yours now." said her Aunt referring to the height Neea' is now.
"Your tiny spirit is just as weak as night fog against the morning sun. It just doesn't stand a chance. That's why you would not be a great ruler; you're just not strong enough to hold power. I understand power and I will be your parent's empire's new Queen! It is my destiny!"
Anger begins to swell inside Neea' gut as she narrows her eyes at her Aunt and bears her teeth some. She can't believe this is the same woman who she considered a great friend for all of her life and it has come down to this.
"Are you getting angry at me young lady?" asked her Aunt.
"'Angry'?" quoted Neea as she grows at an amazing pace to twenty feet. "You have no idea how angry I am, Aunt!!"
Neea' throws her right arm back, makes a fist and sends it forward towards her Aunt and the two trolls part of her personal elite guard.
"Let's see how you like it?!" shouts Neea'
The Queen holds up her free hand up, while her  specter glows bright green now and she "catches" the massive hand and holds it at bay from her by a couple of feet as if it was nothing. The two trolls, however, try to shield themselves from the oncoming blow.
Neea' tries to put more strength into her hand and pushes down in frustration; however, nothing happens except she notices that her boots were digging into the ground as she was being pushed back with her own force.
"How futile." says the Queen in a disgust tone within a snarl. "Do you think that I would allow you to harm me, little girl. You're more naive than I thought. Pathetic."
Neea' wants to bring her hand back, however, the Queen's magic was making stay put.
"Let me go!" orders Neea' in frustration as her body shook from it. "I swear I'll get you for killing him! He was a friend!"
Instead the Queen uses her own power on her niece instead causing her to shrink back down to her actual   true size again and form a magic collar around the girl's throat which begins to choke her and makes her drop to her knees.
Even though she has the normal strength of a young audit again, she struggles with all her might at getting the magical collar off, however, her control over her own body slips away and once again the blank expression to her face returns as her arms go limp and fall to her side.
"And your just as rebellious as ever!" adds the Queen as she tights the collar around Neea' neck who begins feel pressure against her windpipe as her body lets out a cough in discomfort. "Ahhh, young people. They are the same wherever you go or how big they get. You will be tamed if it kills you! But, I hope not because I still have plains for you. Then you can join your Mother and Father!"
As the Queen begins to walk away back towards the dark forest, unknown to her a single tear comes out of the right eye of Neea's and runs down her face just before the troll captain puts a glowing leather leash on her collar which makes her get up and walk as they all followed the queen.
"I failed." Neea' says in her still free mind as her helpless body is forced to move by the magic collar. "I'm sorry Mom and Dad."
