Paul was able to stop himself from his wild spin by forcing his body to spin the oppose direction and just in enough time to get his bearing as he began to make a fast decent toward the treetops just below him. He then grabs the first tall tree he can get.
The old pine tree's crown bends forward as it stops Paul's flight; he then makes his way downward to the ground by once again jumping from limb to limb by the old softwood forest.
He was just a couple jumps away to the ground when the next living limb he landed on was weaker than it appeared and snapped as easily as a dry twig. The next thing he realizes is he's falling down and wasn't able to get his footing back in time. He lands onto the loamy ground with a heavy thump.
He quickly jumps up to his feet, yet, lets out a small wail and falls back down while grabbing his right leg within a grunt. He then sees what has happened. A metal stake left behind from a tent that was once there, sticking half way in the ground where he just landed, pierced into the side of his upper right leg as he pulls out the stake out of his body. He looks at it and in anger throws it away where it <Clangs> against some of the pine trees.
Paul puts his hand over the wound and can see in the bright moon light that it was pretty deep. Sure, it will heal very quickly and soon nothing will show that it was ever there. If that is, he didn't move for awhile or he switches back to his human side, that's just preferably wishing of course.
However, he didn't have the time to do any that because he just did happened to land very close into to one of the public park's campsites which were full of campers.
The closest tent which looked like a family of four could stay in was the nearest one and a campfire was still burning well. He gets an idea and begins to stealthy walk over to the tent. He knows that this is very risky to do with people all around.
Looking, listening and sniffing in the air, it looks like everyone is asleep in the tent and so are the others near-by. Paul takes a seat from of the fire and finds a smooth flat rock setting in the red hot embers as if it was waiting for him all this time tonight.
Putting his right leg out, seeing the wound still bleeding good, Paul takes a deep breath as he focuses on the stone.
"This is going to suck." he thinks to himself.
He quickly grabs the stone in the embers with his left hand which makes a sizzle sound as he bears all of his sharp teeth in pain and slams the stone with his hand pushing into the wound it to sizzles from the heat.
As his body is flooded with pain, Paul bites down on his other hand hoping not to bite it off so he won't cry out and risk being seen or heard by the people. In just a few long agonizing seconds he throws the stone off and sees that the stone did its job at closing up the wound, yet it still hurts at a lot and the smell of his own burnt flesh did not make it any better.
Paul quickly glances over to where the family's SUV was parked. Thought he heard a noise or something. Then he notices that a First Aid box was sitting on the dashboard. A very beckoning sight indeed.
"Maybe they have some aspirin." says Paul to himself as he gets up and begins to walk over to the truck. A large raccoon that looked sick was underneath the truck run away in fright as it saw the werewolf approaching the machine.
"Aspirin? Heck, I need a whole bottle of 800mg Motrin the way my body is feeling right now after what I just went through tonight!"
Once more a noise came from the truck from inside it and did he just see a light?
Paul opens up the passenger door and comes face to face with…a kid.
"Hi." says a young boy innocently who just must be eight years old, blonde hair, brown eyes, dressed in a pair of red sweat pains, white t-shirt, with a small flashlight in one hand a bag of beef jerky in the other, sitting on the floor. "Want some beef jerky?"
Paul just gives the child a dumbfounded look and can't believe that twice just barely twenty-four hours has a young person acted around him as if he is nothing at all scary. This really began to bother Paul because just a few weeks ago he did a great job at scared off a few hunters that were illegally deer hunting in the Park near his home.  He had to ask this question again and hopes the boy doesn't snap back into realty and screams his head off alerting everyone in the camping area.
"Don't I scare you kid?" he asks in his best way in speaking English once more. "I mean, I'm not a…"
"No, I think you look cool!" the boy speaks earnestly as he holds up the beef jerky bag to Paul's face who tries to contain himself as the sweet smells of the dry seasoned meat fill his snout.
"'Cool'?" quotes Paul in a murmured tone as he etiquette tries as best a werewolf could do, takes a piece of the dried meat only because he's just plain hungry now. "It's late, what are you doing up?"
"I was hungry, came out to the truck because that's where the beef jerky was. My Dad says that the best place to store food is in the SUV as long you keep the widows rolled up! Did you know that?"
"Really?" says Paul trying not to sound sarcastic as he chewed on the jerky. "I didn't know that. You're very smart."
"My Dad also says I get too wound up!" adds the boy with more excitement in his voice. "I get hyperactive or something!"
"Really?" says Paul this time in a strong sarcastic tone. "I would have never have guessed that."
"Anyway, I was going to go back to the tent, that's when that raccoon came running up to me and wanted to get in the truck. Thanks for scaring him off." the boy goes on.
Paul rubs his left hand directly down his face and straight pass  his muzzle in disbelief while he still chews on the last of the dry meat.
"What do I look like to this kid? A great big friendly looking wolf out of a cartoon or something?!" he says to himself with disgust.
"May I?" Paul now asks as he points to the first aid box.
The boy hands the box to him while almost dropping it. He finds some aspirin takes the whole bottle and swallows it down with flavored water the boy gave him as well. "Berry" something.
"Hey, are you looking for your friends?" asks the boy as he jumps out of the truck and is in awe at how really big Paul was to him. The boy just barely came up over to his upper calves.
"'Friends?" quotes Paul as he looks down on him.
"Yeah, me and some other kids saw a couple of dudes by the stream earlier today and man, they where ugly! Some were big as you, had green or tan skin, dirty teeth and smelled really bad."
"Why yes!" says Paul to the small boy with a lopsided grin across his muzzle and also thinking it has to be the same trolls and other creatures he just dealt with. "What were they doing?"
"Filling water in some big pouches." replied the boy.
"Did you tell your parents this?" asked Paul hoping to get more information.
"Yeah, but, they didn't believe us." replied the boy with a pout. "They said we made it all up."
"Well, I believe you." says Paul as he kneels down to the boy. "In fact, you just helped me a great deal. Thank you! But, please don't tell anyone that you saw me."
"Sure, that's easy!" says the boy as his face lights up again. "I still think you're the coolest bear I've ever seen!"
"Eh,…Bear?!" Paul the werewolf was a bit taken back at the boy's last words and just lets out a chuckle the best way he could. "Bear, huh? O.K.! The stream?"
"Yep!" says the boy as he points towards the direction
"Alright, go to sleep." says Paul as he runs off into the forest and soon disappears in its shadows. "Later."
He soon reached the stream and it wasn't long before he found the scent that belonged to a troll, that and some other new strange scents filled the air and ground as well. This was going to hopefully give him a trail to follow to where he could find these guys, the Queen and Neea' First however, he's making a quick pit stop back at his place as he realizes that he was not that far away from it the way the trail of the scent is going by the time he reaches them it will be daylight.

                                                         **************************
The queen and her party make their way through the deep woods staying as far away from any of the  human paved road and other settlements as best as possible .
Leading the party was the troll captain along a few other trolls that were his sergeants, behind them was a mixed party of ogres, goblins, and few hawk men which mostly flew overhead. Walking behind them was the queen with her personnel bodyguards right next or behind her.
Another hawk man suddenly comes into view as it comes flying in the oppose direction, it swoops in and lands just a few feet from the troll captain as he orders everyone to stop.
"Report." orders the captain to the hawk man which was one of his scouts.
"All is clear up head, sir." he explains. "No humans are up head to the clearing and the pathway to gateway as well."
The troll captain then turns around to his queen and gives a hand gesture letting her know that everything is; "good".
She gives her captain a nod of approval as she never says a word as she tightens her grip on Neea's leash to make her start walking again. With that the captain gives the order to "carry on".
"We will be back in our own true world." says queen as she specks softy into Neea's left ear who never shows any expression on her face towards her Aunt. "I never understood why you never exploited that growth power of yours. I know it's used as a defense weapon in order to protect yourself from harm. Your father made that known by "Royal Proclamation" in his kingdom. You were very lucky to be raised in such a wonderful sovereign state with its democratic society ways which the Master Monarch allowed this in his realm. Though, I still think his a fool, right down to that saying he like from which your mother taught him; "To each his own." was it?    Well, no matter because my niece, I want to develop your abilities even more. I will push you to you size changing abilities to the max.  I want you to become stronger both in size and strength. Why? Because you are just a young piece of fruit that is not ripe enough for picking, not yet anyway. But, when you are I will consume you and all those "other" life forces that are within you."
"It's not good for us to stay here much longer without us being discovered!" said one of the captain's sergeants.
"The stars will be in the right place at dawn.."  says another one. "We will however, move the army to the "gate's" opening" so that we may be ready when the time comes. Send word to our forces to make their way there."
The troll captain then orders the scout to fly off and keep looking.
Paul watches carefully as he hawk man takes off and come his way. He's done a great job at hiding himself within the pine tree's thick crown as the scout then flies right under him where he jumps down from his hiding spot, lands directly on the hawk man and forcing it to crash into ground.
The whole small army comes to an abrupt halt as they see this. Paul who is still in his hybrid form gets off the scouts body and looks at the troll captain and using his right hand beckons them to follow him, next he takes off running down the path.
The troll captain orders some of his men to follow him after Paul where the werewolf leads them to the large opening in the forest.

The toll captain and his hoard come to the opening to find Paul standing in the middle of it after seeing him put a very old water canteen on his paints leather belt. Hoping that the stuff he had in was still good; even though what was in it was over two years old left over from mission he did with a fellow pack of werewolves in the Philippines.

"Hey troll!" shouts Paul while pointing to the captain.  "Ya gotta pay a toll to use this road or are you going to make me call three very large were-billy-goats I know to in-force this? I assure you they be "good-old-boys" if you know what I mean?"
Paul notices the rest of the army catches up with the queen and Neea' just standing a bit farther behind them.
"Are you just a plain imbecile or do you just love pain?" shouts the troll captain at Paul in disbelief. "Don't you just know when to give up?"
"No." Paul quickly answered. "I'm Irish and Norwegian. "I'm stubborn as hell!"
"True." agreed the queen about Paul's behavior. This one has a very questionable caliber as being's intellectual."

The troll captain then pulls out his throwing spear and point's it at Paul who studies it closely.
"Whoa, that's some serous scratch you got on that throwing staff there." says Paul referring to the captain's spear.
"You like that?" reply's the troll captain as he hands it to another troll. He then pushes a red gem on his battle wrist cuff on his left arm then pushes a green one on the right. As if the cuffs were made of mercury themselves, a silver metallic style liquid runs down the troll's fists and form a pair of metal gloves. The remaining liquid continues on ward next form into a pair of heavy linked chains that stretched out by a few feet and finally the last of the "liquid" formed into pair of bowling ball sized mace-like war clubs along with spikes produced out of them.
Paul almost dropped his jaw open at seeing this and he looks up at his opponent in the eye and says;
"Okay, now THAT will give you some serious "scratch"."
"And then some." the captain adds with a grin. "Now have some!"
The captain then swings his right arm at Paul sending the deadly mace ball at him. Paul thinks his the ball is out of his reach, however, that is soon changed as he dodges the weapon as it flies by his head and takes out a goblin that was behind him.
"Oooo." commits Paul as he witness the horrific damage the mace ball did to the poor fella. "That's defiantly a gusher-maker."
He quickly returns his attention back to the troll who laughs at what he just did to his comrade. Then he starts to spin around until he was a blur. This was quite impressive to see considering how large and chunky his body frame was. However, the two spinning mace balls which spun around with the troll was far more important to be worried about as the rest of the queen's motley crew spread out fast so that they don't cut down either.
"Come on, Come on!" cries out Paul stands at the ready to engage the troll captain who has not made a move other than spinning like a top in the same spot; however, he knew the attack was coming.
Paul then remembers about his own sleep potion that he was still caring in his canteen and was about to throw  it at the troll, however, he knew that this was risky tactic because unless he can get away from the gas fast enough he will be affected too and what good will that be to save the girl?
He did not have to worry about that anymore as from out of nowhere a focused beam of energy comes shooting out of the forest from behind him and strikes the captain who in turn loses control of his "spin" and crashes into a huge rock next to him and falls to the ground out cold.
"What in the name of the toad's mother was that?" a troll cries out as another beam comes shooting out and strikes him out.
Some the goblins throw their spears and shoot  poisonous tip arrows from their crossbows to where the beams came from, however, within a few seconds a fury of smaller versions of the beam rained down on the goblins and they are reduced to burned ash right before Paul's eyes.
While during the attack the queen grabs Neea's leash and collar and starts pulling her back into edge of the forest.
"If that's who I think that is, then I have to get away!" says the queen to herself as she drags Neea'. "I am no match to go head to head yet!"
The last of the trolls and goblins attach Paul who in turn opens the canteen and throws it at the horde where a yellowish gas quickly fills the air and they go down in just a few seconds.
For just a moment the queen turns to see this and that's where her attacker takes advantage and shoots a very power blast at the queen which engulfs her into the beam, flings her back into another large rock and imbeds her into it while all this time Neea' just stands her ground as if nothing has happened.
A smaller beam this time comes flying out which this time is near Paul and strikes Neea's collar and it disappears from her neck. Neea' comes around and looks at all the battle damage around her.
"Where?" Neea' looks around for her Aunt who is unaware that what happen to her until she spots her. "I heard everything! You b…whof?"
Neea' is cut off from finishing her sentence as Paul grabs and scoops up Neea' from behind and runs as fast as his legs would carry him.
"We are so outta here!" exclaims Paul. "I don't know what just happen, but, I think we just made a new friend back there! Whoever it is! " he says to Neea' who now is just hanging on for the ride. "I swear though that was magic! I could smell it in those energy beams! Man, this getting freaken' out of control!"
The queen still struggling to break free from her bond with the rock lets out a in-human scream of some kind as scale-like patterns cover part of her face as the two get away.
